PSXP videos of PSOne emulator for PSP?
Last month we showed you two YouTube videos showing PSXP, a proof of concept “working” PlayStation (PSOne) emulator for the PSP. We shared what details we could find (for example, an early version of the emulator had only 14 fps but they’re aiming for 25-30 fps).
Now there are two more videos, each one with a title page that announces “Yoshihiro from SonyXTeam presents PSXP.” One is even a gameplay video of Batman Forever (at least it looks like Batman Forever). It looks real (a hearty congratulations to the team if it is real!), but we’ll just have to wait and see, won’t we?
I’m going out on a limb here and speaking for myself. While I (ever hopeful and starry-eyed) believe this is real, it won’t matter much to most people if this remains simply as a proof of concept project. As you know, a “proof of concept” is simply a small or short demonstration that something is possible. It doesn’t necessarily lead to a full, complete, and polished product. While it’s nice (and exciting) to watch these videos we’ll still have to wait for Batman. Let’s hope not forever.
Check out the other video after the jump (click on the Full Article link below).
