Puerto Rico DS Stability Update

Puerto Rico DSjohanb123 has been busy lately in his quest to perfect his homebrew game for the Nintendo DS, Puerto Rico DS. Just to give a little background about the board game, it actually originated in Germany and it tasks players to take up the unenviable role of governors during the time of colonization in the Caribbean. They must claim as many victory points as possible, which can be achieved through a wide array of strategies. The board game is the brainchild of Andrew Seyfarth.

Puerto Rico DS has an interface copied from Ben Harrison’s Window and Linux version of the boardgame. If you can see, the game is pretty much still a work in progress, so you may encounter some glitches while playing it. It’s just a good thing that the good developer is doing the best he could to remedy the problems. Just a few days ago, he fixed some problems with the game, and now he is dishing out another update.

So what are the new things you could expect in this updated version? For starters, the game now has “a brief-in game descriptions of both building and roles”. The developer noticed that most people just have no clue how to play the game, so he added a little something for them. Aside from that, he was also able to fix a bug that has been causing random crashes, thanks to iball who pointed it out (and also for the heads up)! See, your comments play an important role in the perfection of this app! So with that, here’s the game and we hope you have fun with it!
