For those in North America, it hasn’t been a full week yet since the launch of the Wii and maybe a lot of you are still trying to get well acquainted with your new family member. At this point, some of you might be tweaking settings left and right, some might be fixing some minor problems, and some might be busy playing Twilight Princess.

Everyone’s still in their infancy stage with the Wii, and surely, most of you guys still don’t know the ins and outs of the console like the back of your hand. How do I transfer game saves to my SD card AND get them to play in another console? Where can I get points to buy those Virtual Console games? What type of controllers can I use? The questions will eventually answer themselves in time, but today, we can help you guys with something that’s been bugging some of you. The Wiimote, the CC, and the GameCube Controller are your friends. How friendly are they though?

A few weeks ago, a controller chart for the Wii was released. This time, a revised version just came out with a column on the detailed explanation for each row. This chart leaves little room for any disputes, as the chart last time left us guessing and speculating. And for those who were still wondering, the GC Controller can be used for Virtual Console games and other third-party titles. According to this chart, its compatibility is partial. This is one significant change from the previous chart which just ticked off a check mark for “Others” under the GC Controller.
