PxP Homebrew Competition: Breakthrough: An Inventors Tale
Here’s another entry to the PxP-sponsored Homebrew Competition. One of our own, KleptoOne, dropped by the QJ Forums and informed us about his own creation called Breakthrough: An Inventors Tale. In a nutshell, it is a blockbuster type of game with an original theme as well as other small additions to enjoy.
Anyway, the analog stick will be used heavily in the main game to move the paddle. The “X” button will launch the balls while the left and right shoulder buttons will curve the ball. A meter at the top of the screen has been provided to inform players how much curve power remains.
We mentioned that the game has certain additions and these come in the form of mini games and a level builder. The first bonus game will require the player to survive as long as he or she can. The “X” button, as always, will be your best friend here. The second mini game, on the other hand, will be using the analog stick.
KleptoOne was good enough to include a level builder. So readers, customize as you please! According to the coder, the game is just 95% complete as of now. He released it quite early to receive some feedback from us homebrew fans.
