PxP Homebrew Competition entry: Lil’ Fighter 1.00 Beta

Homebrew coder Yongobongo dropped by the QJ forums today and informed us about his official entry to the all new PxP Homebrew Competition. Ladies and gentlemen, let us welcome Lil’ Fighter 1.00 Beta. And like the name implies, it is based on the computer game Little Fighter 2.

To those not in the know, Little Fighter 2 is a beat ’em up title created in 1999. It is very popular among players because of the rather simple and engaging gameplay. Most of all, the game can be acquired all over the net for free. Now, the PSP homebrew version can be installed by copying “Lil’ Fighter” directory to ms0:/PSP/GAME. Custom firmware users, likewise, should put it in ms0:/PSP/GAME150.

After trying the game for a couple of minutes (or was that an hour or so?), we decided that Yongobongo has been faithful to the original game. So if you enjoyed Little Fighter 2 on your PC, this is a great time to try it out on your hand held. The controls for the game are as follow:

X – Attack
O – Jump
Up, Down, Left, Right (DPAD) – Move Character
Analog Stick – Move Character
Start – Pause
Select (when paused) – Exit
