QJ.NET New Features: Thumbnail Gallery and Bookmarks!

QJ LogoHere is a small update about what’s been going on around here at QJ.NET today that will hopefully enhance your experience while you’re here. The most obvious added feature is our new Gallery View for thumbnailed images and screenshots. Its pretty basic and bare-bones at the moment, but before long it’ll look a little bit nicer and complement the style of the rest of the site. There’s nothing you have to do, just click on any thumbnailed image like you normally would and a new window will open up showing you all the images from that post – easy as pie! At the moment, this is only available for images posted from this point on.

Next up is a new feature that gives our faithful readers the chance to let other people know about any of the cool articles or breaking news you see here on QJ.NET! At the bottom of each individual article view you’ll find a box containing links to all your favorite Social Bookmarking sites on the web! Deli.cio.us, Reddit, Spurl and many more! So if you see something you think other folks should know about, be sure to get the word out! (Word to the wise: many QJ blogs are currently banned from Digg so you may not be able to Digg It… it’s long, scandalous story, but I’ll save that for another post…)

And finally, a reminder about a feature that debuted a few weeks ago: Trackbacks! There’s been a bit of confusion, so I thought I’d take a moment and clear everything up. The Trackback feature is a way for us to help bring attention to your own site, blog, or favorite hangout space or forum. Its a link exchange program, so if you post something elsewhere related to what we covered in a QJ article, submit a trackback! In order for trackbacks to be approved, the submitted page has to contain a link back to that particular QJ article. Entering a Trackback is easy, just fill out the form at the bottom of an article and spread the word, then we’ll spread yours!

Trackback

As always, we’re dying to know what you think about the newest features here at QJ.NET – your feedback is how we continue to improve your experience while you’re here! And of course, if you like these new additions, the easiest way to let us know is to Jump it Up!
