Quake Wars gameplay at NVIDIA GeForce 8800 launch

attackWe know pretty graphics when we see it, and the next video really shows off a lot of pretty graphics. NVIDIA Corporation recently launched their latest series of spanking new graphics cards, and they decided to be a bit showy with their latest invention.

During the launch event of the NVIDIA GeForce 8800 on November 8, the company opted to present the power of their new card through a video, which we’ve managed to dig up. The gameplay video you’ll see below is from Activision and Splash Damage‘s Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, which is another futuristic shooter against aliens and other sorts of monstrosities, as the previous Quake games managed to reveal in gory exposition.

Nestled in a snowy mountain facility, you’ve been dropped off in the middle of an intense firefight that has you shooting down energy barriers, running past giant robots, and wondering if you get paid enough for the kind of abuse they put you through.

The graphics are stunning, of course, though you’ll probably need a high-powered computer to use the new cards. Still, a good trailer is definitely the kind of thing to entice a gamer to make a hefty upgrade in their computer gaming arsenal, isn’t it? Enjoy the trailer!
