Race Driver: GRID vid – dev talks about game engine, features, more
This June, Codemasters will be releasing their latest racing game, Race Driver: GRID. In anticipation of this, they’ve also released the first in a series of developer diary videos that will give us a closer look at the game. Race Driver: GRID (Xbox 360, PS3, DS, PC) is Codemasters latest installment to the TOCA Touring Car series. The game will be released this June, and in anticipation of this, Codemasters has released the first in a series of developer diary videos.
In this first video, the game’s designer Ralph Fulton talks about the game’s features, set alongside several awesome clips from the game. Fulton also talks of the game’s engine, Ego, which is based on the engine Codemasters used for Colin McRae: Dirt.
Probably the best part about the video is where Fulton talks about the game’s improved crashes and deformation system for cars (with matching clips of course). Here’s the video:
