Rated E for Ecstasy – Man finds E tabs in used GTA game manual
Richard Thornhill went to a local Gamestation to pick up two secondhand copies of Grand Theft Auto for his 12 year old son and his 16 year old daughter. Unfortunately, instead of taking the game home for his son to enjoy, he was forced to take it to a nearby police station after he found four tablets of ecstasy stashed in the game’s manual.

Unfortunately, instead of taking the game home for his son to enjoy, he was forced to take it to a nearby police station after he found four tablets of ecstasy stashed in the game’s manual.
“When I opened the box up, the cling film wrap fell out. I could not believe it,” he said. “I have two children and my son plays Xbox all the time. He could easily have opened the box and found them.” He later received an apology from the store, but he still feels that stricter checking is in order. “It was a pre-used game, but that should not make a difference,” he said. “My wife is beside herself over this because she keeps thinking about what could have happened and so do I.”
In response to the matter, Gamestation promptly said, “We have rigorous procedures for accepting pre-owned titles and checking them before they are put back on sale. We have launched an immediate investigation and we will work closely with police to find out what happened in this instance.”
Poor GTA is gonna get eyed again for this one, drug-related this time.
