RCA Releases EZ101 Point-and-shoot Digital Camcorder

ez101RCA most likely took a hint that the consumers demand for an affordable, high-quality, and convenient home video recording product; and with that sudden realization, they came up with the EZ101 – the first in a new line-up of digital camcorders under the RCA Small Wonder Banner.

This thingamajig has a price tag of $150, and for that measly amount (for a digicam that is), you get a digicam that operates on conventional AA batteries and stores up to 30 minutes of video. RCA also throw in the 1.5 inch LCD that acts as a viewfinder and a preview screen, like most digicams it also has a USB drive for direct file transfer to PCs which does not require a CD installer and an A/V cable for tv playback.

For added convenience, you can turn this baby in at any Pure Digital’s 8000 partner, retails locations where they’ll transfer your videos or pics to a DVD. RCA also made mention of a follow-up model to the EZ101 which is the aptly named EZ102. This unit, which will be available in the near future, will have additional features. So for those who value practicality and are on a tight budget, maybe this one is for you.
