Reactions to Blood Elf Model Change too much?
The images below caused a lot of fans to complain. Apparently they want their Blood Elves to look all thin and beautiful, and this “pop-eye-arm” model change is not satisfactory. This of course right after Mike Schramm, the guy who made the WoW Insider post, cautioned that Blizzard‘s Burning Crusade is a changing piece of work.
Of course WoW poster Ephraim and his clarifications that the pop-eye arms only show up at certain angles were mostly ignored by “haters.” People still went on to complain. Sigh. Anyway, here’s a nice picture Of Ephraim’s point that the change really isn’t much:
Okay, so now that’s cleared up, we’re thinking that people will move on to nitpick the female Blood Elf models next. Why are people so picky about their Elves anyway? Maybe geeks in general just have a soft-spot for overpowered skinny people with pointy ears. I’d like to post the Penny-Arcade “stark comparisons” strip here so you guys can get a better Idea of what I’m talking about, but you guys can probably Google that up yourselves.
