Reassuring numbers: Yoichi Wada confirms 1.8 million shipment for FFXIII
With Japan finally getting its hands on the (seriously) highly-anticipated Final Fantasy XIII, a lot are worrying that copies might be sold out even before they get to the queue. However, Square Enix president, Yoichi Wada, provides some reassurance as he confirms that they have foreseen this mad rush for the game, and so has set 1.8 million units to ship for Japan.
With Japan finally getting its hands on the (seriously) highly-anticipated Final Fantasy XIII, a lot are worrying that copies might be sold out even before they get to the queue. However, Square Enix president, Yoichi Wada, provides some reassurance as he confirms that they have foreseen this mad rush for the game, and so has set 1.8 million units to ship for Japan.
The stellar statistic includes the regular copy of the game, as well as the Limited Lighning Pink Edition PS3 bundle. You can see it’s going to be a terribly exciting month for the PS3 in Japan, yes?
Anyway, if you thought 1.8 million is staggering already, wait till you hear about their worldwide shipment figure for the whole Final Fantasy series: 92 million units worldwide. That’s a true testament to how successful this franchise is. If you still have any doubt to that statement, then I seriously don’t know what will make a believer out of you.
