PSP homebrew developer NoRiGoLo dropped dropped by the QJ.NET Forums earlier to let the community in on an interesting project just waiting to viewed, dubbed Recession Maxidemo. This production is neither a game nor an application, but rather is a PSP-based demoscene.

A demoscene, for the guys asking, is a computer art subculture that involves creating non-interactive light-and-sound productions that are run real-time on a computer. It was a very popular trend among Amstrad CPC, Atari ST or Amiga systems back in the early to mid-90s, with Recession Maxidemo here meant to be something of a revival of that era.

This demo has been confirmed to work on PSPs running on custom firmware 3.40 OE – just load it to your game folder as you would with most other homebrew applications and games, and enjoy the show.
