Red Orchesta Collector’s Edition: From Russia with love

Red OrchestraWhen we think WWII Allied forces, the first thought that comes to mind is the mud-spattered faces of the British and American soldiers who slugged it out on Europe‘s Western front. Then there were the Russians on the Eastern side, who clashed with the German blitzkrieg come Operation Barbarossa.

Tripwire Interactive‘s Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 provided for a realistic showing of how the Eastern Europeans battles were, even when compared to WWII FPS’ like MOH: Airborne or CoD3, and added more to the fun factor by allowing players to play with 30 plus weapons, and a total of 16 vehicles to joyride in, sorta like BF 1942. And from the looks of it, the game devs have decided to kick up the game’s play value even more.

Tripwire Interactive and Destineer Publishings just announced they’re releasing the Red Orchestra: Collector’s edition pack, and that aside from the features that already made this game fun, the new Collector’s Ed. will be carrying extra game goodies:

  • Two new maps.
  • Four new weapons.
  • Two new vehicles.
  • One DVD featuring the top-10 maps designed by the Red Orchestra community.
  • Sixteen strategy cards containing info on the game’s maps and vehicles.
  • One official Red Orchestra dog tag.
  • Trailers, and desktop wallpapers.

We advice that you guys keep your eyes peeled when this Collector’s Edition comes out, and see what other surprises Red Orchestra has in store for you.
