RedOctane explains further the issue with GH II’s defective controllers
A couple of days ago, we shared with you a report about one customer having problems with his Guitar Hero II controller. Accordingly, the said gamer e-mailed RedOctane about the issue and got a response from the company that the case has been isolated to just two defective model numbers.
Now, the point here is this customer is not the only one who was able to acquire a controller with those numbers. We don’t have the exact figures but it seems that there are a lot more similar cases out there that prompted RedOctane to release an official statement over its official site. It reads,
We have been informed of a possible calibration issue with Guitar Hero II for the Xbox 360’s whammy bar. We believe this may stem from a feature put in place to ensure accurate scoring. Guitar Hero II features a complex control scheme that requires precise calibration between the game and the guitar. We are currently investigating the situation further.
On a related matter, the renowned music-themed video game faced another issue a couple of days ago about its unlockable content. Some fans argue that the game isn’t casual players-friendly because the advanced levels are just so hard.
Game designer Chris Canfield solved this problem by providing the players with the cheat code.
