Remote Play to be added in Firmware 1.6
We’ve previously reported to you folks the supposed features of the firmware update – presumably PS3 firmware 1.6 – that’s set to coincide with the European PlayStation 3 launch.
Well, Tom Kiss of TomKiss.net informs that while he was at the ThreeSpeech’s event at the PlayStation ThreeRooms in London, Phil Harrison answered some of his questions during the Q and A section. When he asked when the Remote Play from outside the home functionality be implemented, Harrison reportedly said that “Remote Play from wireless hotspots? It’s included in the 1.6 update.”
If Tom Kiss’ report is to be considered, this means that by Euro Launch we should be able to access the files stored in our PS3, when near a hotspot, using our PSPs, anywhere in the world.
Nice, right?
