Here’s some good news for Wii owners who want to get more bang out of their consoles. Nintendo and Netflix will reportedly be announcing the arrival of the latter’s movie streaming service to the Wii today according to the New York Times.

The Wii is the only seventh-gen console remaining that doesn’t offer Netflix yet, although rumors about it have been making the rounds for a while now.

The Wii’s Netflix service will be reportedly be free for those who have at least a US$ 9-a-month subscription to Netflix’s DVD-by-mail service. Similar to the setup for the PS3, Wii owners will need a streaming disc to watch Netflix content.

The service is expected to go live sometime this spring.
