Resident Evil 5: Alternative Edition: More scenario details, upgraded Mercenaries mode to have 8 new characters

Resident Evil 5: Alternative Edition‘s assistant producer Mie Suzuki recently shared a few more details on the game’s second scenario, Desperate Escape, as well as what players have waiting for them in the expanded Mercenaries mode. Find out after the jump.

 

 

 

Resident Evil 5: Alternative Edition‘s assistant producer Mie Suzuki recently shared a few more details on the game’s second scenario, Desperate Escape, as well as what players have waiting for them in the expanded Mercenaries mode.

 

Jill Valentine stars in Desperate Escape again, but this time she’s paired up with BSAA Africa’s Josh Stone (no relation to Joss). The scenario takes place after Jill comes out of her coma and meets up with Stone, who came to rescue her. They team up, load their guns, and try to make their way out of the Tricell facility.

 

So far, Lost in Nightmares and Desperate Escape are the only new scenarios Capcom plans to release. Suzuki estimates each scenario to last around one to two hours, although she did note that there are some gameplay elements that let players play over and over again.

 

She also mentioned that the Mercenaries Reunion mode will have a total of eight new characters. Of these, five have been confirmed: Office Lady Sheva, Warrior Chris, Exoskeleton Chris, Folklore Sheva, and Josh Stone.

 

The Desperate Escape DLC will hit North America and Euorpe in March.
