According to the Resident Evil 5 (PS3, 360) product page on Xbox Japan, the game will be getting DLC.

This news shouldn’t come as a surprise for RE faithfuls who’ve been keeping track of the game. Capcom announced their intent to release DLC late last year. They were still deciding on what kind of DLC to release then, so it’s still good to know they finally made up their minds.

So what are we gonna get? New environments? New playable characters? New weapons? Dunno. Wasn’t mentioned in the product page. I’m just as frustrated as you are, believe you me. We don’t even know if this will be an Xbox 360 exclusive thing. Since Microsoft bagged a timed-exclusive demo, I wouldn’t rule out exclusive DLC just yet.

The product page did offer other info on the game. System link will support up to 2 players – not 16, as the box art claimed. There will also be online rankings and support for custom soundtracks.
