Resident Evil Rumours True?

REPreviously, we reported on a rumour about a Chinese magazine being passed around about for the Wii. Well, with Famitsu‘s Resident Evil confirmation on the title of the game, we might want to take a second look at the information! After all, if the magazine got the name of the game right, what’s to say they weren’t right about everything else?

Here are the juicy details of the game according to the mag:

  • Gameplay is a mix of light gun games and Resident Evil 4 (shoulder-view light gun game?)
  • Features Chris, Claire, Leon, Ada, Jill, Carlos, Rebecca, Hunk, and Wesker (so RE1 – RE4)
  • Scenario’s include:
    • Museum (RE1)
    • Police Station (RE2)
    • Raccoon City (RE3)
    • Village (RE: CV and RE4)
  • It will help fill the gap between Resident Evil: Code Veronica and Resident Evil 4
  • Two modes of gameplay: Scenario and Arcade

The game looks like it’ll be a level-based light gun game that is played in the third person perspective. This rumour is becoming more realistic now! Hopefully we’ll hear more at the Nintendo Wii conference that should be happening in Japan now!
