Resist temptation: Killzone 2 promo copies can’t play online
Ok, eBay lurkers. If you’re looking to score yourself a copy of Killzone 2 promotional copies, don’t count on getting early access to multiplayer. Guerilla Games said they won’t be able to play online with it.
Ok, eBay lurkers. If you’re looking to score yourself a copy of Killzone 2 promotional copies, don’t count on getting early access to multiplayer. Guerilla Games said they won’t be able to play online with those copies. Says Guerrilla‘s Seb Downie:
I would strongly suggest not buying this. It is unclear whether this is a review build or something else. I can’t tell from the pic if it is [the] final version or not. If not, you will at no point be able to play online with it. Also I am sure it says on the disc ‘Not for resale’ so this guy is breaking the rules.
Guerilla Games clarified on this when reports of promo copies were spotted being sold on eBay – for a whopping GBP 200 (US$ 290) I might add. Basically you’ll just be paying four times the price for single-player. Whoop-dee-doo.
There’s a reason why the discs are labeled “Not for Re-Sale” you know. They’ve been distributed for review purposes. And also to make a quick buck, apparently.
It’s only a few more days, anyway
