Revisiting past mistakes: the worst decisions in videogame history
It’s often been said that those who refuse or are unable to learn from their mistakes – or from the mistakes of others, for that matter – are doomed to repeat them (or make mistakes similar to those that others’ve made).
With that in mind (as well as a fair bit of schadenfreude, perhaps), the staff of GamerFeed have put together their list of the worst disasters of the gaming industry to date – ones that stem from poor decision-making – from former Atari CEO Ray Kassar’s role in the creation of Activision in 1980, to the “chance” discovery of Hot Coffee in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas in 2005 and the resultant fallout.
