Revolution Rumor Roundup!
With so much speculation going on in regards to the Revolution, it’s hard to differentiate at points what can be took as concrete fact and just plain rubbish. Recently, there has been a variety of tidbits discussed in and around the internet on some finer points of the Nintendo Revolution.
Firstly, there is the possibility that the console will not only connect together with USB Plug & Play devices and the DS. This comes from discussion and speculation that Nintendo in the near-future may start to focus on the cell-phone gaming market, and in true Nintendo style, there may be a link created between Cell Phone & Nintendo Revolution content.
Moving on, the Virtual Console feature continues to be talked about, with how the concept could be interpreted as an indie developers dream, alongside how much of an influence the Chinese gaming market is on the console. According to reports, the Chinese population spend more time playing little Flash-based video games as opposed to console, could the Virtual Console change this? All of the discussion on the Virtual Console feature leaves the idea that it could possibly be the ‘iTunes for games’, of course the Xbox 360 already has a head start on that one.
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was recently confirmed to include Revolution-based content, therefore theorists around the world have been going crazy on what it could be, with ideas ranging from just a simply enhanced game to an entirely different version! (although, that might take away some anticipation for a proper Zelda on the Revolution).
Naturally though, we’ll find out answers to all of these Rumors soon at E3, and I tell you what, I can’t wait!
