Richard Morgan to pen Crysis 2 story

For his visceral writing style and experience in the realm of sci-fi, Electronic Arts and Crytek both decided that award-winning author, Richard Morgan, is the best man to write the story for Crysis 2.

 

 

 

 

For his visceral writing style and experience in the realm of sci-fi, Electronic Arts and Crytek both decided that award-winning author, Richard Morgan, is the best man to write the story for Crysis 2.

 

Morgan is more popular for his two sci-fi bestsellers “Altered Carbon” and “Broken Angels”, and this would be his first shot at weaving a plot for a video game. It was announced back in November 2009 that he was to write for three games with EA, so we can expect two more from this author.

 

“Video games are one of the only things in my life I would qualify as a complete addiction,” the author said. “The medium has every bit the potential for exciting and emotionally charged storytelling as literature and film, and I’m excited to explore this format on my first project in partnership with a world class developer like Crytek.”

 

Set in New York City, Crysis 2 will see the return of aliens armed with advanced weaponry and exceptional sensory abilities. Put that in a game, that could be challenging. Story-wise, that’s right up Morgan’s alley.
