Ridge Racer 7: Asian Tracks and A Car

Last time, we gave you some updates regarding the game. Now we’re going to give you some in-game screenshots of the game. You’ll be seeing quite a lot of tracks here and a car or two.

There are some tropical rain forest tracks here. You’ll see a lot of plant life and probably some fogging in the car’s windows due to humidity. There might be some animals in the game but so far, only a bird was confirmed. On the second set, there are also tracks in some sort of Indonesian village. There’s a large Buddha statue overlooking the track as if tell you to slow down and take a gander at it.

You’ll notice that the bridge and road seem to be weathered out due to the weather. There’s also some slight rust in the rails. On the third track, which we will call Industrial Chinatown, the buildings look as if they’ve been there for a long time. The attention to details of what pipe goes into where is very distinct – considering you’ll only see this for a millisecond at the most.

The fourth track, you’ll see that the roads seem to go on forever. Their objective is to seduce the players into driving fast in order to see the end. The last track shows a theme park of some kind. Wouldn’t it be nice to see exploding fireworks as you race your way through the park? There’s also a helicopter in two shots, we don’t know as to what part they’ll be involved in, but it looks important.

Looks like Ridge Racer 7 is gearing up for heavy duty graphics. No release date yet, although it may be mentioned in TGS.
