Rock Band Harmonix - Image 1If you’re the sort of person who can’t stand minor errors, and if you also happen to play Harmonix and MTV GamesRock Band (Microsoft Xbox 360, Sony PlayStation 3), then good news for you: Harmonix just issued some bug repairs. These fix incorrect genre tagging on some songs, as well as vocals that can’t be muted. Get more details in the full article.

Rock Band Harmonix - Image 1Players of Harmonix and MTV GamesRock Band (Microsoft Xbox 360, Sony PlayStation 3) who have experienced minor bugs with some songs (and are too obsessive-compulsive for them to let them pass) can now heave a sigh of relief, now that Harmonix issued bug fixes for those tunes that either have incorrect genre tags or vocals that cannot be turned off.

Here’s the list of songs that got bug fixes (according to title and launch date):

Incorrect genre tags (fixed)

  • CanÂ’t Stand Losing You – November 20
  • Roxanne – November 20
  • Synchronicity II – November 20
  • Police Pack 01 – November 20
  • Brass in Pocket – December 18

Vocals that can’t be turned off (fixed)

  • Limelight – January 1

If you already downloaded these songs, all you need to do to get the big fixes is to re-download them. For Xbox 360 users, just go to your Dashboard’s System Blade, then go to Memory > All Devices > Games > Rock Band, and then delete any of the above songs that you have downloaded, then get them again from the Marketplace.

On the other hand, Sony PS3 users won’t be able to see any of the songs from the PlayStation Store if you already downloaded them, but you can still re-download the songs from your download list. Don’t tarry and get those bug fixes if you have any of the above songs. In the meantime, we can wait for the upcoming batch of downloadable songs for Rock Band.
