Rock Band: Stand-alone instrument peripherals to launch this February 12

Here’s some good news if you’ve been having trouble trying to buy Rock Band‘s (Xbox 360, PS3, PS2) full instrument kit in one go.

We’re letting you know that starting this February 12, you can now opt to purchase each of this Harmonix title’s instruments as a stand-alone peripheral. Harmonix’s CEO Alex Rigopulos had this to say regarding this big news:

The release of standalone instruments allows Rock Band musicians to enjoy the full Rock Band experience, including drum, microphone and guitar head-to-head modes, creating a whole new level of competitive fun.

WeÂ’re also delivering a stand-alone wireless guitar solution for all versions of Rock Band as well as providing the opportunity for consumers to build their band one instrument at a time.

In case you’re wondering, here are the specific peripherals that will be going on sale come February 12, along with their expected retail prices. Keep note that PS2 peripherals will also run on the PS3:
