Rockstar appoints former Capcom boss as COO

Gary DaleCapcom, now Rockstar COO”>Gary Dale, the former European MD at Capcom, has packed his bags and moved to Rockstar. Dale has already enjoyed a strong relationship with Rockstar and parent company Take 2 in the past, and has taken a post as Rockstar’s chief operating officer.

From 1994 to 1998, Dale was president of the interactive division of BMG Entertainment, which was acquired by Take 2 in March of 1998. The original Grand Theft Auto from DMA Design (which later became Rockstar North) was released during his time at BMG.

RockstarÂ’s founder and executive producer Sam Houser said that they are “delighted to bring Gary back to Rockstar Games.” He went on to add that Dale’s expertise in marketing and publishing operations will “play an important role in helping us to capitalise on the substantial opportunities we see ahead of us.”
