That’s the case with RSPsar Dumper, homebrew developer Red_Squirrel‘s version of _HelldashX_’s Psar Dumper with a twist. Version 3.0 carries improvements to Sony PSP FW 3.90 support featured in the earlier version. But thanks to the new KL4E/KL3E decryption algorithms complete 3.90 firmware compatibility is a reality.

Let’s keep it short, sweet, and simple: RSPsar Dumper version 3.0 is a major step up from the previous release, thanks to a little collaboration between PlayStation Portable homebrew developer and QJ.NET Forums member Red_Squirrel and a friend, Robert Metz.

It no longer requires a copyrighted pspdecrypt.prx plugin, thanks to Metz’ K4LE/K3LE decryption algorithms. The Italian developer is proud to say that RSPsar Dumper version 3.0 can be used immediately on your Sony PSP without any additional files.

Like it’s previous releases, RSPsar Dumper version 3.0 will skip decrypting and decompressing the firmware on your PSP’s memory stick, passing the dump immediately over to the PC the PSP is connected to. But the newest release will also be able to tell what decryption your firmware will need to be dumped.

If you’re new to Red_Squirrel’s RSPsar Dumper, you’re free to read through the bundled documentation for ease of use, as well as where to install RSPsar Dumper on your memory stick.
