R-Type Tactics II details, debut trailer
Irem has revealed a few more details regarding R-Type Tactics II: Operation Bitter Chocolate, the sequel to the tactical strategy PSP title R-Type Tactics (R-Type Command outside Japan). One of the few things they didn’t reveal, however, is just what “Bitter Chocolate” means. I guess we’ll find out when we play the game. If it gets an overseas release, that is.

In addition to the expanded unit count we’ve posted about before, R-Type Tactics II will also feature more story paths and new battle commands. The former makes me think that both sides of the human-centric conflict in the game will be playable. There will also be downloadable missions to extend the game’s lifespan.
Other features include local multiplayer and Game Sharing. Seriously, more games should have a Game Sharing feature built in. The smaller ones, at least. Irem has also released the debut trailer for the game, which you can check out below. R-Type Tactics II: Operation Bitter Chocolate will drop down in Japan on October 29.
