RUMOR ALERT: MGS4 loves Sony… AND Microsoft
Alright, alright, everyone calm down first.
New piece of rumor for the day is that Sony may be losing another exclusive by having Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots ported over to competing next-gen console, the Xbox 360.
Though there have already been reports in the past where Hideo Kojima has been quoted in saying that MGS4 was made especially for the PS3 and that porting it may be impossible since it only fits in a Blu-Ray disc, many have also pointed out that MGS: Sons of Liberty made an appearance on the Xbox, thus giving ideas on the possibility of a port. On top of that, word has also been floating around that Kojima is being asked by Konami to port his hit title.
In any case, this one is yet another new piece of fodder for the rumor mill (there seems to be quite a few floating around recently, haven’t there?), so better take all this with a grain of salt.
In the meantime, we’ll have to wait and see if anything around this topic will actually take shape.
[Note to ed: found out as I was backlinking that this is a dupe. -_-;;;; oh well.]
