Rumor: Microsoft readying a GTA 4 and Halo 3 console bundle for Australia
According to a rumor we’ve picked up, Microsoft may be readying a couple of special Xbox 360 bundles to coincide with Grand Theft Auto 4‘s (Xbox 360, PS3) launch in Australia.
What makes this especially interesting is that the bundle will also include a copy of Halo 3. Details are available in the full article.
If this rumor we’ve picked up checks out, it looks like Australia‘s painfully overcharged gamers may be getting some sort of respite, courtesy of Microsoft.
Word on the street is that the company is releasing two special Xbox 360 bundles, each carrying a copy of not just Grand Theft Auto 4 (Xbox 360, PS3), but also Halo 3.
The first game bundle, priced at AUS$ 679.95 (US$ 642), will carry both games and a 360 Pro Console with a 20GB hard drive.
The second bundle will cost around AUS$ 499.95 (US$ 472), and will include an Xbox 360 Arcade unit with a 256MB memory unit. While we can understand the Pro bundle, it does strike us odd that the company would offer a 360 Arcade to go with both games.
All the more given that GTA4‘s DLC may include entire cities. That said, the rumor further states that Australia’s David Jones store chain may also be picking up on this bundle. That’s all the info we’ve got for the moment – drop by again in case we run into any updates.
