Rumor: Namco working on new Wii Balance Board game?

It’s not surprising that rumors tend to circulate, especially when a hush-hush project is afoot. In this case, it’s Namco Bandai and an alleged new game that involves the Wii Balance Board. More speculation follows after the jump.

If you’re looking forward to playing more Wii Balance Board games, you may want to pray that this rumor is true: Namco Bandai is allegedly working on a new Wii title that involves the said peripheral.

Namco Bandai has supposedly been demonstrating this new title to various members of the gaming media this week, and behind closed doors at that. If that is indeed the case, then it ties in with Nintendo president Reggie Fils-Aime‘s statement that  “There are over 10 games in development that take advantage of the Balance Board.”

Assuming this rumor is true, it hardly comes as a surprise, considering that Namco Bandai already has its Wii Balance Board supporting title, Family Ski. Nevertheless, should the company release such a game, it will beat having to wait until Nintendo decides to release other Balance Board titles to European and American territories.
