Rumor: Pro Evolution Soccer 7 for the Wii this December?

The Wii console - Image 1 As a brief backgrounder for this rumor, we’ll be making mention what appears to be the latest installment of Konami‘s Pro Evolution Soccer game franchise. This game has been dubbed Pro Evolution Soccer 7 (not to be confused with Winning Eleven: Pro Evolution Soccer 2007), and has been reported by gaming (IGN) and pre-order sites to be heading out to Japan PlayStation 3s and Xbox 360s by this December, and in Europe by this October – America’s still on the TBA status.

And while we already know that much, French gaming magazine Jeux Video has reported that the PES7 is Wii-bound as well. As stated/Babelfished in the magazine’s May issue, page 36/37:

Mario and PES make a bet: that of the foot on Wii!

Other details imply that it will launch at the same time as its 360 and PS3 counterpart this December. That’s all the notes we have at the moment. Given that this will be the Wii’s first soccer game, we’re tempted to imagine what sort of uses Konami’s planning with regards to the Wiimote and Nunchuk configuration…any ideas from your side, readers?
