Rumor: Sony leaks PS3 Facebook integration, gamercard customization features
PS3 users have had access to Facebook and other social networking sites like Twitter for a while now thanks to the console’s web browser. It looks like Sony wants to take it a step further though by integrating a Facebook icon directly into the XMB.

Some images found on the UK Playstation website points to the integration. Other images show other new features, including the ability to change gamercard colors. I’m tagging this as a rumor for now since nothing official has been announced, but hey! Official site!
The Facebook icon image first reported by ScrawlFX was in Portuguese (?), but I did a bit of poking around and turned up one in English.
You can view the images on the UK Playstation site here, here, and here. That is, if they haven’t taken them down yet. No word on when these features will be added, but seeing as how they’re already on the official site’s server it could very well be in the next firmware update.
