Rumor: Steam headed to OS X?

Just as a new version of Steam was launched, so did the rumors that it will be coming over to the OSX. Yes, the Windows-dominated program just might be heading to Apple’s territory.

 

 

 

Just as a new version of Steam was launched, so did the rumors that it will be coming over to the OSX. Yes, the Windows-dominated program just might be heading to Apple’s territory.

 

The rumor came about after a user in the Steam User’s Forums posted an image of the OS X UI graphics in the Steam installation directory. Supplementing that suspicious image was an ‘osx.menu’ file placed inside the ~Steam\resource\Menus folder. This only happens to match standard OS X menus as well.

 

This could be just a form of wishlist, or it could be an indication of Valve’s plans for Steam in the coming days ahead. We don’t know for sure yet, so in the meantime, all you Apple users keep your fingers crossed if you want in on this bandwagon.
