RUMOR: Unreal Tournament 2K7 to be released by January 8

Frag monkeys, unite! Start practicing those strafing skills, bring out the plasma rifles and the lightning guns, and load up that flak cannon as we MAY already have a clue as to when the PC version of Unreal Tournament 2007 may be reaching stores.

And all thanks to Wal-Mart‘s and Target’s product pages which both indicate that this well-loved FPS from Epic Games may be arriving within the first week of January. Wal-Mart places the date at January 5 while Target says that it will be available by January 8, but with just a few days’ difference, it’s really anybody’s guess.

So are we seeing an actual release date or are these just place holders?

Anyway, I was really hoping to see the Ripper back in commission, but the crunch of flak is just as satisfying. Needless to say, we’re keeping our fingers crossed.
