Rumors and GameStop: new PSP titles this fall, no MGS until 08
In a recent Gamespot “retail radar” report, it was noted that GameStop has listings for the following games for the PSP:
- SOCOM: US Navy SEALs Tactical Strike – October 2
- Pursuit Force 2 – September 25
- Syphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow – September 4
Now, what’s amusing about this Gamespot investigation is that either it was way off, or it was actually close enough to hit a nerve. A quick look at the links that Gamespot gave that should lead to the supposed listings reveals that the listings have been taken down.
Now we thought Gamespot might’ve just run into some errors when it came to linking, but a quick search through their database confirms that the said titles are no longer there.
Three more PSP titles for gamers to play this fall? If we take into consideration how Sony reacted to Kotaku’s early reveal of PlayStation Home, this disappearance from the listing could mean confirmation that the said games do exist. But hey, that’s just speculation.
In related news, the same Gamespot report said that the much anticipated PS3 title, Metal Gear Solid 4 has a release date of March 1st 2008. Guess what? The listing is still up… take that as you will.
