Duke Nukem Forever is coming? - Image 1Surfer Girl, known for previous rumors such as a next-gen Prince of Persia being in the works and Resistance: Fall of Man getting a sequel, just released a batch of what she claims as “insider info.” She says a Skies of Arcadia sequel and Kingdom Hearts 3 will come to the Nintendo Wii, Duke Nukem may actually see the light of day again, Sega has no plans for Shenmue, Capcom‘s Street Fighter IV will be for Sony PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Xbox 360, and other important decisions are being made behind the lines.

If you haven’t noticed, Surfer Girl’s latest set of rumors has everything from promising releases in the future to disheartening cancellations of beloved franchises. In her lengthy list, she mentioned the good stuff like Rare Ltd. will continue to develop games for Microsoft, and the bad like Wario World won’t get a sequel.

For the good news, Sony’s combat racer Twisted Metal is hinted to appear on the Sony PlayStation 3, F-Zero is getting its next-gen fix on the Nintendo Wii, Punch-Out may get a remake for Nintendo’s console, Fahrenheit‘s spiritual successor Heavy Rain by Quantic Dream is offering groundbreaking features, and a new entry to the Star Wars: Knight of the Old Republic is being made LucasArts and BioWare.

Two of Square Enix‘ Tetsuya Nomura Nintendo DS titles, according to Surfer Girl, can possibly leave Japan to see release stateside. Other games you don’t expect are also supposedly going to be released, or at least announced, next year. Another cool thing is that Capcom may contribute to Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and Mega Man is the best candidate.

The sad things? Some sequels we’d like to see, including one for Luigi’s Mansion, aren’t going to surface anytime soon. A new Sony PSP, one that’s probably more than a revamped model, won’t be on shelves for at least three to four years. Of course, the often rumored Shenmue 3 that fans of Yu Suzuki have been waiting for is listed under “not wanted by Sega.”
