The console versions of Sacred 2: Fallen Angel (PC, PS3, Xbox 360) have been plagued by delays. Developer Ascaron Entertainment seems to have finally gotten everything in order for the game’s May 12 release, but they had to pay a price for it.
According to GameSpot, the Germany-based developer has gone bankrupt after working on Sacred 2 for four delay-filled years. The dev is currently in talks with “several well-known interested parties to discuss a positive takeover.”
Be that as it may, Ascaron says that their bankruptcy filing will not affect Sacred 2‘s launch date. The company also revealed that they are now working on a follow-up, Sacred 3, as well as an expansion for Sacred 2‘s PC version.
