Sacred 2: Fallen Angel pushed back to September 2008 - Image 1Ascaron Entertainment has just posted a very important announcement regarding its Xbox 360 and Games for Windows title Sacred 2: Fallen Angel over at the game’s official website.

Quite unfortunately, the game has just been pushed back. Originally, Sacred 2 was supposed to be released during the first quarter of 2008.

Ascaron said, however, that the overall development process is taking longer than what its developers have initially planned. Part of the explanation reads:

An extension of the development process was necessary in order to ensure that we realize all the development plans and ship both PC and Xbox 360 versions with the best possible quality and stability.

A game as complex as Sacred 2: Fallen Angel, with its many technical innovations, requires extensive testing and balancing in all areas.

It was also mentioned by the company that this decision to delay the game is supported by its partners, including shareholders, banks, and distributors. Ascaron went on and said that the new target release date for this game is September of 2008.

It was also mentioned that a demo for Sacred 2: Fallen Angel may be made available shortly before that to make it up to fans.
