Sacred 2: Fallen Angel to be playable at GDC 2008
Ascaron Entertainment, makers of Sacred, probably won’t be making playable demonstrations of Sacred 2: Fallen Angel as an exclusive gig at the Leipzig Convention anymore. The news on the press waves is the cdv Software Entertainment, the new publishers of Sacred 2: Fallen Angel, has announced that a playable version of the much awaited RPG sequel will be present at 2008’s Game Developers Conference. Less than a month after acquiring rights to publish Sacred 2: Fallen Angel (Microsoft Xbox 360, PC), cdv Software Entertainment announced that the fully 3D role-playing game will be rendered playable at the upcoming Game Developers Conference in San Francisco. The details of which parts of the game will be available to attendees weren’t divulged.
This would be the second official outing of Sacred 2: Fallen Angel. The multiplayer aspect has been made available before to participants at 2007’s Leipzig Convention. cdv Software Entertainment also notes the GDC event as being the first cooperative effort by the publisher and Europe-based Ascaron Entertainment for Sacred 2: Fallen Angel.
cdv Entertainment and Ascaron Entertainment will showcase the game at booth 6605 located inside the GDC North Hall of the Moscone Center. The PC/Xbox 360 RPG is currently scheduled for a September release later this year.
