Sam and Max Now More Likely to Need a Wiimote?

Max

Telltale Games asked Sam and Max fans to email Nintendo if they wanted to see Sam and Max on the Wii. Apparently the fans really showed their rabid support because Nintendo called Telltale Games last week. Lots of you know this, but like Max says in the comic panel above (that I made using Telltale’s comic generator), good news is worth repeating!

But what’s happened since then? Did Telltale Games get the dev kit? What’s their next step? We’re dying to know (or at least I am)! But we haven’t heard anything else about it. Since Telltale Games asked fans to stop sending emails to Nintendo, the buzz has died down a bit.

But what’s the big deal with Sam and Max and the Wii? Why is somebody like me (who usually tries to be neutral) using exclamation marks? Like this! Lots!!!

It’s because the Wii controller is perfect for a Sam & Max kind of game. Back in 1993, LucasArtsSam & Max Hit the Road was a favorite of many people because it was one of the best point-and-click games ever made. It’s also one of the funniest (and most fun) games in the point-and-click genre. So if you put it all together (point + click + fun), that equals Wiimote. Right?
