Same feel, fresh deal: SSX Blur is Wii-ified
For those of you guys who’ve seen the first video footage of SSX Blur the other day, you might already be wondering what the game’s going to be like. Others have aired out their concern of how it will compare to the previous titles in the franchise. Take for example Cowinacan who said:
SSX 3 is the best, but that level they showed in the video is in SSX on Tour already. The character isn’t real looking anymore either. I hope Elise is still as gorgeous as before!
Yeah, maybe. But despite being “the same” stage as before, the whole gaming experience is what makes this title entirely new.
According to Producer Alex Hyder, they really wanted to “Wii-ify” the essential core of the SSX series by taking the speed, the flight, the tricks, and the fun from it’s previous installments onto the next-gen. It’s going to be everything you’d expect from the franchise but presented in an unexpected way.
We’ve got confirmation that the the Wiimote will play a major part in this EA Sports BIG game, as it will allow you to do pretty much whatever ballyhoo you want. The motion-sensing functionality would give you total command of what you’re doing with On-the-Ground and In-the-Air controls.
The game’s snowing in on March 2007, so until then, just keep yourself warm and toasty. We’re bound to hit on more info for you guys soon.
