Samurai Warriors: Wave Details

WarriorThe details for Samurai Warriors: Wave are coming in via Famitsu now. The newest game in Koei‘s long-running Samurai Warriors franchise will surprisingly not be a rehash. They are switching the game to a first-person perspective to take advantage of the Wii’s controller. You will be able to use the WiiMote to wield a variety of weapons including swords, spears, axes, and guns.

The game will still keep many of its elements from real Japanese history (giant enemy crabs?). You will be able to take control of one of many generals and follow their own storyline. The developer of the game is Omega Force and the game’s set to be released in the launch window of the Wii. Expect the game by the end of 2006 in Japan. A North American release date hasn’t been set, but we’re hoping we’ll be getting it soon.
