SanDisk V-Mate gets a Wii compatibility upgrade

SanDisk V-Mate

After its debut at last year’s IFA and a European launch, SanDisk’s V-Mate is still getting some love from the company it came from. According to Shiny Shiny, a brand new feature has made its way into the video recorder’s menu – something that’s certainly going to make quite a few people happy.

It was discovered at this year’s CES that SanDisk has upgraded the V-Mate to include Wii compatibility among its list of features. The V-Mate video recorder can connect to any A/V device with a composite output and then records straight to a memory card (SD, MMC, etc.), so now you’ll be able to play back your V-Mate recordings using the Wii’s card reader.

We reckon that new V-Mates will have the aforementioned feature pre-installed. Don’t worry if you already have an old V-Mate lying around. All you need is to upgrade its firmware and you’ll be good to go.
