Sangokushi Taisen DS Screenshots

Sangokushi Taisen
is one of the hotter arcade games that hit Japan a few months ago. The game is set in the turbulent era of Japan’s past. Your objective is to topple the enemy’s castle and you do this by arranging your “card troops.” You manually deploy them by putting the cars on the map. The advanced card reading technology will then pinpoint where you are on the map. Then the battle begins for the last castle standing. Interesting take on Submarines. No wonder they garnered at least 500,000 registered users and nearly a million cards sold. The cards themselves were beautifully crafted and designed by some of the top artists in Japan.

We mentioned last time that it’s headed to the DS. We’re presuming that this will have Wi-FI capabilities (as seen in the website) and some stylus action to boot. Does this mean other players around the world can compete? So far, they only mentioned Japan.

Here are some in-game screenshots to help you tide over until it comes to our lands. Enjoy!
