Savage 2: A Tortured Soul - Free Content Patch 1 update - Image 1S2 Games has just announced the release of Free Content Patch One for Savage 2: A Tortured Soul. This first FCP for the game contains improvements and a whole lot of goodies for everyone.

Improvements have made changes to the melee combat system in the game. The developers have managed to tweak the game to make it now more enjoyable and rewarding. The gameplay will be more fluid than the last time.

As for new additions, there’s really a lot. A new Hellborne unit has been introduced: the Devourer, a creature made from the corpses of fallen warriors. His damage and mass increases and gains additional ammo as soon as he consumes a corpse. The more mass it has, the more hitpoints it is able to yield.

Two new maps have also been introduced to the world of Newerth. These are the Lost Valley and Morning maps. In these maps are new areas where you  can fight more fiendish foes.

For armor progression, armors now will progress simultaneously with its owner. The further you increase in level, the better your equipment will be. In addition to this, four armor sets for each unit will allow other players to approximate your level before the actual combat begins.

30 new achievements have also been added to Savage 2. These achievements have been broken down into four categories, and players now have both Lifetime and Match specific achievements to attain in the game.

Group battles can now be made through the automated clan match reservation system. Up to four players can create a clan, manage the clan’s recruitment and roster, edit clan tags and icons, and develop their own clan webspace.
