Mobile television is insanely popular in Korea and North America has not yet caught up with the craze, but SavitMicro might change that. SavitMicro has developed a USB dongle that will enable laptop users to watch TV in the best possible quality the technology allows.
Digital Multimedia Broadcasting (DMB) now becomes available to laptops, but only to laptops with at least a 1GHZ Pentium 4. Dubbed as EUD 3200, it picks up everything in Band II (174-240 MHz) and is able get high quality video (MPEG-4/H.264) and audio (MUSICAM and MPEG-4/BSAC) through a retractable 12.5 cm antenna. Unsightly, but it’s necessary to pick up the best signals.
