Say bye-bye to an Xbox 360 price drop
We got some Microsoft good news and the bad news. Now, most people would want to start with the good things first, so let’s first take a look at the good stuff.
Well, we heard from our source that costs for manufacturing Microsoft’s lime green console have dropped faster than expected. Bad news is, according to a Microsoft spokesman, Microsoft has “no plans to adjust the price of the Xbox 360 this year.”
So it’s official folks, we won’t see any price cuts for the Xbox 360 during the holidays. Better scrap your hopes (fueled by various rumors) that you’ll get one this year.
The company hopes to sell 10 million consoles by the end of the year, and currently they’re on the six million mark. Will they slash the Xbox 360s price when they finally reach their goal? As of now, we don’t know. Of course we can always hope that they’ll change their minds in the near future, but until that happens, let’s just keep our fingers crossed.
